School of Early Learning Calendar for 2011-2012 (subject to change)

Aug. 25, 2011: Parent Orientation (Parents only)
From 5:30-6:30 p.m., parents will be able to meet staff and turn in paperwork
At 6:30 p.m., parents/guardians will hear a short presentation concerning various preschool topics
Aug. 29, 2011: Meet the Staff for Friday’s Little Learners (2 year olds) & Early Learners: M/W a.m. & M/W p.m. only (3 year olds); Families may meet the staff anytime from 5-7 p.m.
Aug. 31, 2011: Meet the Staff for Early Learners: T/Th a.m. and T/Th p.m only (3 year olds); Early Pre-K and Pre-K (Ms. Mary, Ms. Harmony and Ms. Andrea); Families may meet the staff anytime from 5-7 p.m.
Sept. 6-9, 2011: First week of preschool
Sept. 30, 2011: No school (alternate childcare needed)
Nov. 22/23: Parent/Teacher conferences- preschool classes will not meet (alternate
childcare needed)
Nov. 24/25: No classes due to Thanksgiving break (alternate childcare needed)
Dec. 3: Preschool’s craft show 9 a.m.- 2 p.m.
Dec. 11: Christmas program for Early Pre-K and Pre-K students at 2:00 and 4:00 p.m.
Dec. 16: Last day of preschool- Christmas break
Dec. 17, 2011- Jan. 3, 2012: No school due to Christmas break (alternate childcare needed)
Jan. 4, 2012: Return to preschool
Mar. 26-March 30: Spring break (alternate childcare needed)
April 2: Return to preschool
April 6: No school due to Good Friday (alternate childcare needed)
April 29: Spring Carnival Open House; families may visit anytime 2-4 p.m.
April 18/19: Parent/Teacher conferences- preschool classes will not meet (alternate
childcare needed)
April 20: Classes resume
May 2/3: Early Learners’ spring progam (students of Ms. Stephanie and Ms. Lynn)
11:00 a.m. for the morning classes; 2:30 p.m. for the afternoon classes
May 18: Last day of preschool (Friday Friends celebration for Friday Friends students)
May 20: Preschool graduation (for 2- & 4-day Pre-K classes only- students who will be attending
Kindergarten in the fall of 2012)
